Review: Smokin Jacks was on point last night. We ordered the family meals including the ribs and the pulled pork. It came with tons of cornbread, sandwich buns, and a bunch of sides. We got two orders of macaroni & cheese (ranks highly), baked beans, & greens. We added the jamaican jerk sauce and it was spicy but I really enjoyed the flavor. Everything was outstanding!!

Review: I messaged scenic view on Facebook to confirm that I could make a reservation for our party of five today. The general manager Jessica was great and even asked if we needed a highchair for our little one. Our friends and I enjoyed a beautiful 65° morning overlooking lake Monroe. The service was on point and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again soon. Thanks for a great morning!

Review: After getting an email about a birthday treat I stopped by and ordered an espresso. Thank you so much and I had a great start to the day because of you guys. I was really impressed with the baristas ability to juggle the coffee cup as well. Hahaha.

Review: This place is one of Bloomington’s best-kept secrets, but every time I go it gets a little busier. Their menu is authentic Korean food and the flavor of everything that I’ve tried was absolutely on point. The service has been great every time and I look forward to sharing more meals here in the future. Keep up the great work.

Review: We dined in before the IU vs Ohio State game (we lost 54-7) and really enjoyed a crowd of about 1/2 capacity. It was nice to have some space during an IU game day! We always order the sirloin for two and can never finish. We also enjoyed the meatballs and the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The blue cheese salad and baked potato were a perfect complement to the delicious steak. The house red was a great choice as well. Our bill for 4 people was a little over $300 and well worth a night out @ one of Bloomington’s best restaurants.

Review: The fried chicken cobb salad was delicious and a little bit larger than I could handle. The ingredients were fantastic and fresh. The small pieces of bacon were a great compliment to the crumbled blue cheese. I really liked the homemade creamy dill dressing. Definitely one of the best salads in Bloomington.

Review: This has to be one of the top 3 best places to eat in Bloomington in my book. Upon entering there is a beautiful flowering bush that a big fat bumblebee was pollinating.

Today I stopped in for a business lunch with Sara S. and ordered a charcuterie board while we talked website design stuff. The Dodge City salami blew me away and the fat was like slippery butter in my mouth. It blew me away especially since I used to live in Dodge City, Kansas! The peppered salami was fantastic, the truffle cheese, the pickled red peppers, house pickled veggies, and the melted brie were just absolutely outstanding.

The service was good and the food was absolutely delicious. Every time I come here it’s spot on and a foodie’s dream. They do things right with outstanding ingredients and put a lot of thought and care into their offerings.

Review: There was a really hard choice this morning because everything in the display case looked amazing. We ended up going with the cheesecake, oatmeal raisin cookie, cinnamon roll with honey and blueberry, strawberry cream cheese Danish, and an egg frittata. This is the best bakery in Bloomington.
