Hoosier EVA (the Hoosier Electric Vehicle Association) is a volunteer-run nonprofit that supports electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts across Indiana. Established in March 2010 as an affiliate chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association (EVA), the group’s mission is to promote and educate the public about the benefits of driving electric โ no ownership or membership required to get involved.
What We Do
Education
Social gatherings held once a month on Saturdays, open to EV owners and the EV-curious alike. Outreach and information sessions to help Hoosiers understand the benefits and realities of driving electric.
Visibility
We host at least two public events every year to showcase the benefits of electric vehicles. One is held during Earth Day, and the other during National Drive Electric Month in September โ October.
Advocacy
Partners with organizations like Solar United Neighbors, the City of Bloomington, Clean Cities Indiana and others on public comment and policy input around EV charging infrastructure in Indiana.
A Regional Resource for Bloomington EV Owners
Hoosier EVA is in the process of revitalization, moving to Bloomington fall 2026. It’s included here as a statewide resource that Monroe County EV owners and enthusiasts are welcome to connect with, attend, or follow for Indiana-focused EV news and events.
Get Involved
Meetings and events are open to anyone interested in more information about EVs, hybrids, e-bikes and other electrified transportation. Join the Google Group to hear about upcoming meetups and connect with fellow EV owners, or follow along on Facebook. More social media channels to come!
