Balloons Over Bloomington

Balloons Over Bloomington flies hot air balloon rides over Monroe County, meeting its passengers at the Monroe County Airport on the south side of town. It offers group flights, private flights for couples or families, and balloon tethers for events.

People book for anniversaries, proposals, graduation gifts, family reunions and company outings. Friends and family are welcome to follow the ground crew in their own cars, and an exclusive flight can bring them along in the chase vehicle. Bring a camera. The pilot makes the final call on whether the weather is safe, and a flight that cannot go is rescheduled.

The business is also known around town as Bloomington Balloon Rides. Its blue and silver balloon is a regular sight over the south side. Reserve by phone or on its website; changing a date takes 72 hours’ notice.
