• Take it yourself, in Bloomington or Monroe County. Light editing is fine.
• No watermarks, borders or text on the photo. We add your credit.
• No close-ups of strangers, especially children. Crowds and events are fine. If a person is the subject, you need their OK (a parent's OK for anyone under 18).
• No readable license plates or house numbers. We may blur them.
• No photos through windows or from private property, and none that show where a private person lives.
• No accidents, crime scenes, nudity, violence, hate or ads.
• Composites and AI images must be disclosed, and usually are not accepted as photographs.
• Nests and dens of wildlife show as a general area only.

To keep spam out, we check your name, email, caption and story with Akismet, and use Cloudflare Turnstile to make sure you are a person. We keep a scrambled version of your network address for 30 days to stop abuse, then delete it. More in our guidelines.
