Southern Indiana's first craft brewery, founded in 1994 and now brewing on Bloomington's west side.

About Bloomington Brewing Co.

Bloomington Brewing Company, known as BBC, calls itself Southern Indiana's first craft brewery. It was founded in 1994 and started out housed within Lennie's restaurant, which Indiana Public Media places next to the brewery on East 10th Street.

Today BBC is a production brewery at 2234 West Industrial Park Drive, with beer distributed around Indiana. Brewing moved there when Lennie's relocated to Kirkwood Avenue in 2019. The beers on its site include Kirkwood Cream, Ruby Bloom Amber, Rooftop IPA, Quarrymen Pale and Clown Convention Hazy IPA. The Indiana Daily Student called Ruby Bloom the brewery's mainstay beer.

The official tap room is at Lennie's restaurant, while the brewery hosts events at the production site, including a 2026 Oktoberfest with games and a food truck. In January 2022 founders Jeff Mease and Lennie Busch sold the brewery to Amanda and Jarrod Franklin and partners from Four Day Ray, and the BBC name stayed.
