Bloomington Tutors provides private, one-on-one tutoring services at Indiana University (IU).
Our expert tutors specialize in specific courses, including Kelley School of Business requirements such as finite math (M118), calculus (M119), K201, economics, accounting, and statistics. We also offer tutoring for advanced Kelley and SPEA courses, including the I-Core series, finance, and marketing.
Bloomington Tutors was founded in 2013 by Alex Weissman, a graduate student in IU’s School of Informatics and Computing.
Using his years of experience as a math tutor at the University of Maryland, Alex began working with IU students in finite math, calculus, and K201. He realized there was a great demand for personalized, one-on-one help, and that the resources provided by the university were simply not enough. He soon partnered with Sarah Baghdadi, former member of Brighter Days Collective, to develop a business strategy. Sarah brought her expertise, from many years at DC’s largest cooperatively owned and run business, to her new home at Bloomington Tutors.
Together, we’ve grown into a large network of skilled tutors – each and every one personally evaluated and hand-selected by Alex and Sarah.
Alex brings over ten years of experience as a highly recommended tutor and his extensive technical understanding of math, engineering and computing. Sarah has been fundamental in managing the day to day needs of our customers and tutors.
We hope that you will choose to work with us, and we look forward to serving the IU community in the years to come.
