Monroe County's first cat cafe: coffee, treats and a lounge of adoptable cats from the Bloomington Animal Shelter, with reservations encouraged.
About Btown Meow Cat Cafe
Btown Meow is a cat cafe on SR 46 with the tagline Lounge, Play, Adopt. The cats roam freely in the lounge, and visitors can spend time with them while they wait for adoptive homes. The cafe works with the Bloomington Animal Shelter to place its cats.
The cafe offers select beverages and prepackaged treats, which you can enjoy in the cafe or in the lounge, and its site also lists wifi. Space in the lounge is limited and walk-ins may not fit, so reservations are encouraged. Children may visit with an adult.
Mother and daughter Amber and Karrah Moore opened Btown Meow in November 2023, and WFIU reported it as the first cat cafe in Monroe County. The cafe has also hosted events such as bingo and Kitty Kids Camp, and its site counts 365 adoptions so far.
The site posts afternoon hours, with Tuesday and Wednesday closed. Hours may change, so check btownmeow.com or call 812-742-1399 before you go.
