Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream

Bub's Burgers & Ice Cream has served Bloomington at 480 N Morton St since 2010. It is part of an Indiana group that started in Carmel in 2003 and also has Zionsville and Indianapolis airport locations.

The burgers are hand-pattied, flame grilled and made from fresh, never frozen ground beef, and you can order beef or elk cooked to order. The Big Ugly is the signature challenge: it weighs 22 ounces before grilling, and finishers get on the photo wall. Smaller sizes include the Twice as Ugly and Settle for Less Ugly, and a kids' list covers mini burgers, corn dogs and grilled cheese. House-made buns, pies and dressing are part of the menu too.

There is an ice cream shop side with hand-dipped milkshakes and malts. The Bloomington page lists daily hours of 11am to 9pm, which may change. Bub's also takes catering orders and runs private party rooms and a food truck for events.
