Our Mission is mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.The National MS Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do somethign about MS now – to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn’t.Today, more than 7,500 Hoosiers and their families benefit from the National MS Society – Indiana State Chapter through equipment assistance, information and referral, self-help groups, advocacy and a variety of other programs. In addition, the National MS Society continues to be a leader in research to find a cure for MS.

The Monroe County History Center is a non-profit museum, genealogy/local history research library, educational facility and museum gift store that is housed in the historical Monroe County Carnegie Library. The History Center is operated by the 102 year old Monroe County Historical Society, Inc. and is self-sustaining. The Society is dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of the history of Monroe County. Our collections include materials and artifacts that reflect the shared heritage of our local area. We hope to show, through the use of these artifacts, how Monroe County fits into the context of southern Indiana, the Midwest, and the Nation as a whole.

Hello! My name is Lindsey Maxwell and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator. I was trained through DONA International as a birth and postpartum doula in 2010. Over the next two years, I became certified as a birth and postpartum doula as well as a lactation specialist through Lactation Education Consultants (LEC). I am a Lamaze certified childbirth educator and offer in-home consultations as well as group childbirth/postpartum classes at BABS. In the past four years, I’ve worked with over 50 families and feel I have learned something new from each of them. As a birth doula, I have experience in hospital settings with VBACs, clients on bed rest, prematurity, medicated births, and cesarean birth. I am very interested in providing doula support at home births as well. As a postpartum doula, I have experience with singletons, twins, families with older children, and bottlefed and breastfed babies. I also love to provide babywearing education to new and expectant parents and caregivers!
