Döner Kebab

Döner Kebab is a food truck in Bloomington serving German-style döner, slow roasted on a vertical spit and shaved to order. The truck is usually at 304 E Kirkwood Ave but not always, so check the live tracker on its website before heading over.

The döner kebab comes with shaved lamb or chicken, fresh toppings and house-made sauces, and the falafel kebab is the meat-free option.

Owner Hamid was born in Afghanistan, lived in Pakistan and India, and spent many years in Germany, where he came to know döner as street food in Berlin. He told the Indiana Daily Student in 2022 that he had been running the truck for eight years.

The site gives typical hours of noon to 10 PM Monday through Thursday and Saturday, noon to 11 PM Friday, and closed Sunday, but hours and locations can change.
