About FARMbloomington

FARMbloomington is a seasonal American restaurant at 108 E. Kirkwood Ave., in the historic Oddfellows Building. It opened in 2008 under chef and owner Daniel Orr, a Columbus, Indiana native.

Orr's idea at the start was real food that is local, seasonal and simple but still original. The restaurant publishes lunch, brunch, dinner and afternoon menus. Dinner menus and daily specials change with the local ingredients available.

Below the dining room is the Root Cellar Lounge, an underground speakeasy-style bar. It lists karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday and rotating DJs on Friday and Saturday, opening at 9 PM Wednesday through Saturday. Several of its underground rooms can be booked for private events.

FARM also caters, with parties from 2 to 600 people. Its site says saving the Oddfellows space and reusing old artifacts in the design sustains downtown Bloomington's history. It also uses compostable to-go containers. Hours can change, and IU home game weekends may affect menus, so check the site first.
