Gather Around BBQ is a family-owned barbecue business that served Morgan County and nearby counties from a food truck starting in 2011. Owner Kevin Greene, described as a KCBS award-winning pit master, and his wife Melissa opened a permanent restaurant at 43 South Main Street in Martinsville, in the historic downtown district.
The restaurant has a dining room and a covered, heated patio with a view of the downtown square. Its menu pairs traditional smoked meats with side dishes and some unusual offerings.
The restaurant also runs a fundraising program built around its cherry-wood smoked pulled pork, and you can order online. Posted hours are Monday to Thursday 11 to 8 and Friday and Saturday 11 to 9, closed Sundays, which may change; call 765-343-6050 to confirm.
