Half Bottle Bistro

Half Bottle Bistro is a wine-forward bistro on Bloomington's south side, in the Porto Flats complex off Sare Road. It opened May 20, 2024, with Jonathan and Rachel Odell as owners and Abel Garcia of Hoosier Bistro as the opening chef. The owner described the feel as a little breezy and a little tiki.

The bistro offers wine, beer and cocktails with shared plates and cheese boards, and half bottles of higher-end vintages are available. The menu runs to charcuterie, meatballs, Rockefeller oysters, muffaletta and French dip sandwiches, and salads. It also lists pinsas and a Beef Manhattan, and desserts such as crème brûlée and cheesecake. Lunch and dinner have their own menu sections.

There are about 50 seats inside and 50 outside, including a pavilion that can be rented for private events.
