Founded nationally in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. In 2002, the organization served more than 200,000 youth ages five through 18, in 5,000 communities across the country, through a network of 470 agencies.Mission: Our mission is to empower our community youth. We serve the emotional, social, and educational needs of children ages six through seventeen by facilitating professionally supported relationships with adult volunteers. The agency serves children ages 6-17 through a variety of one-to-one and group mentoring.
