Pie First Bakery

Pie First Bakery is a pie-focused bakery started in 2012 by Louise Miracle and her husband Rick, who felt good pie was becoming a lost art. Its kitchen is in Owen County and is registered with the Monroe and Owen County health departments.

The bakery lists 9-inch pies, 4-inch tarts, jumbo cookies, muffins, British-style scones, cinnamon rolls and quiche. It says it makes more than 50 kinds of pie, and that its doughs and batters are made by hand with no mixes or pre-made fillings. Louise says she learned pie making from her German grandmother.
