The Davis Academy of Music was founded by two IU alumni, a husband and wife duo Craig & Emily Davis. They moved to Bloomington from New York City in 2016 and set out to offer music education and programming to adults who wanted to learn to play a musical instrument. Their tagline, “It’s never too late to learn to play a musical instrument” reiterates their passion for the arts and for adult education. They offer group classes and private lessons to students of all ages who want to learn to play music, to sing, or to join a band. They hope that students at any age can benefit from continued pursuit of music lessons, and create unique programming and performance opportunities for their students. They seek to offer students a fun, warm environment with supportive coaches who can help them achieve their musical goals and pursue their passion.
