The Grace Center Food Pantry is a volunteer-driven organization committed to alleviating food insecurity in the Bloomington, Indiana area. Located at 9206 South Old State Road 37, adjacent to the Clear Creek Township Trustee’s office in Harrodsburg, the pantry serves residents of Clear Creek, Indian Creek, and Polk Townships. Operating hours are every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, providing a consistent resource for those in need.
To qualify for assistance, individuals must demonstrate an inability to purchase food and meet specific guidelines outlined by the pantry. The dedicated team of volunteers ensures a welcoming environment, upholding a strict code of ethics and conduct to maintain respect and dignity for all clients.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Grace Center Food Pantry has adapted its operations to minimize person-to-person contact. Clients are now served directly at their vehicles in the parking lot, ensuring safety for both recipients and volunteers.
