About Social Cantina

Social Cantina is a modern Mexican restaurant on Bloomington's downtown square at 125 N College Ave, steps from IU and Kirkwood Avenue. The Indiana Daily Student described its street-food menu in 2021 as tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, dips and bowls, with over 100 bottles of tequila and freshly squeezed lime margaritas. Today's food menu is organized into entrees, ensaladas and sopas, tacos and cantina bowls.

Social Cantina says it was founded in 2018 and belongs to Finney Hospitality Group, whose sister brands include The Tap and SmokeWorks. The company lists locations in Bloomington, Carmel, Downtown Indianapolis, Mishawaka and Nashville, with a Broad Ripple shop added in November 2025.

The Bloomington page advertises daily drink deals, a weekday happy hour and lunch specials. A private event room seats 40, expandable to 60, and catering is available. Hours are listed as 11 am to 12 am Sunday through Thursday and 11 am to 1 am Friday and Saturday, though they may change. Call (812) 287-8199.
