About Bloomingfood Market And Deli East Store
Bloomingfoods Co-op Market East is the east-side store of Bloomington's member-owned grocery co-op, at 3220 East Third Street. It sells a large selection of local and organic groceries, and its prepared-foods side has a hot bar, salad bar, hot soup, made-to-order sandwiches, house-made grab-and-go items and baked goods. The deli menu includes signature sandwiches such as the Chipotle Turkey Melt, along with breakfast sandwiches.
The co-op opened in 1976, and the East store opened on November 1, 1991, in a building that had been a restaurant. The co-op says its landlord agreed to a long-term lease through 2066, and it has hosted a small farmers market in the East store's parking lot for many years.
You do not need to be an owner-member to shop. The co-op lists store hours of 8 am to 10 pm daily, though hours for individual departments differ and may change.
