About Darn Good Soup
Darn Good Soup came back to Bloomington in November 2025, about five years after its College Avenue shop closed. The soups are sold at The Chocolate Moose, and Visit Bloomington describes it as a partnership.
Eight soups made from scratch with the original recipes are available, and the business says the recipes were created by chef Nels Boerner. Classics named by WFIU include broccoli cheddar, lentil spinach, chicken tortilla and West African chicken peanut. The soup is made at One World Kitchen Share on the north side.
At its earlier College Avenue shop, the menu always had vegetarian and vegan choices. WFIU reported the Chocolate Moose as open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the time, which may change.
