About Gables Bagels on POSH
This Gables Bagels is a cafe inside the lobby of POSH Boutique Hotel at 200 E. Kirkwood Ave. It opened in early September 2025 as the second Bloomington shop.
Gables describes its food as kettle-boiled, oven-baked bagels, sandwiches and coffee. The Indiana Daily Student reported 10 New York-style bagels along with sandwiches and sides. The Kirkwood location has a large outdoor seating area, while the original Third Street shop has a few seats inside and out.
The owner, Ed Schwartzman, also owns BuffaLouie's. An October 2026 student-paper guide recommends Gables for its bagels and notes the line out the door.
