Windjammer Bar and Grill

Windjammer Grill is the bar and grill at Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina, 9301 S Fairfax Rd, on the shore of Lake Monroe. The Fourwinds site describes it as open seasonally for lunch and dinner, with floor-to-ceiling windows, lake views and a classic American menu. You can sit on the outside patio or in the air-conditioned dining room and bar, and dogs are welcome on the patio.

The menu lists starters such as crispy calamari, wings and nachos, mains including blackened mahi fish tacos and a Hoosier pork sandwich, plus fish and chips, coconut shrimp, bang bang shrimp and pizzas. The bar pours house margaritas, signature cocktails and 32 oz buckets.

Live music plays on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The restaurant does not take reservations, and to-go orders go through a window at the bar. Because it is inside a state park, the gate charges an entrance fee, which the restaurant says it refunds when you dine. Boaters can use courtesy slips.

The restaurant's site lists Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 9 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. Hours and season dates may change, so check with the restaurant first.
