A locally owned garden center and nursery on Bloomington's south side, family run since 1965: plants year round, mums and pumpkins in fall, Christmas trees, and bulk mulch and stone.

About Mays Greenhouse

Mays Greenhouse is a locally owned garden center and plant nursery on Bloomington’s south side. It has been family run since 1965, when Marshall and Emma May began selling geraniums from the porch of their family home, and it is open year round.

It grows its own plant starts: annuals, perennials and Indiana natives, vegetables, herbs, fruit, shrubs, trees, water plants and a large selection of houseplants and tropicals, plus specialty items such as bonsai, orchids and carnivorous plants. Soils, fertilizers, compost, pottery, planters, tools, seeds, bulbs and garden décor and gifts are on the shelves. Fall brings gourds, pumpkins and mums, and late fall brings Christmas trees and wreaths.

For landscaping projects it sells bulk and bagged mulch, bulk pea gravel, creek rock and sand, landscape stone, grass seed and straw, and offers delivery of bulk goods. Call for a quote.
