The Tap Brew Pub

The Tap in Bloomington is a craft beer bar and pub at 101 N College Ave, near the courthouse square, with more than 200 craft beers, among them originals from its own Indiana brewery. Nathan Finney founded The Tap in 2012 as a craft beer bar, and it later grew into a full-service restaurant in Bloomington. The business launched its brewery in 2014 and says its beers have earned national recognition, including top honors at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.

The Tap brews over 30 unique beers a year at its Bloomington-based brewery, led by head brewer Chris Paumi. There is also wine and a full bar and cocktail menu. Guest favorites on the pub-style menu include Tap Fries with four house-made dipping sauces, a Beer Cheese burger, house-made pizzas and Firecracker Shrimp Tacos.

There are flat screens for live sports and trivia during the week, and live music every weekend at 8 PM. The Bloomington page lists a 3-6 PM weekday happy hour. The Tap is open to all ages from 11am to 9pm and 21+ after 9pm. Posted hours run 11am to 11pm Sunday through Wednesday, 11am to midnight Thursday and 11am to 1am Friday and Saturday, though they may change. Every Tap offers a patio, private event space, catering and to-go mobile ordering. A second location opened in downtown Indianapolis in 2015.
