The Gayle & Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship at Ivy Tech Bloomington gives free business advice to students and residents of Monroe and seven nearby counties.
About Cook Center for Entrepreneurship
The Gayle & Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship is part of Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus, started in 2010 in honor of local business owner Bill Cook. It provides free business advising and resources to students and residents of Monroe, Morgan, Lawrence, Martin, Greene, Brown, Orange and Owen counties, and works alongside the South Central Indiana Small Business Development Center.
Anyone in the region can ask for a free consultation on expanding a business, finding funding partners or meeting peers in their industry. The center also holds an annual signature event that brings nationally known entrepreneurs to Bloomington, and the Duke It Out business pitch competition, powered by Duke Energy, for Ivy Tech entrepreneurship students. It is at 501 N. Profile Parkway, the same address as Ivy Tech’s Indiana Center for the Life Sciences. See the Cook Center’s page at Ivy Tech to request a consultation, or browse more colleges and universities in Bloomington.
