Dagwoods Deli Sub Shop

Dagwood's Deli & Sub Shop opened in March 1985 and is at 116 South Indiana Avenue, one block south of the Sample Gates. The Indianapolis Business Journal has described the Bloomington shop as the original location, owned by John Santos.

The shop's own site lists past awards: Best Subs in Bloomington's Best in 1989, Best Sandwiches in the IDS Weekend's Best of B-Town for 2001 through 2004, and an Indianapolis Monthly mention in 2006.
