Great White Smoke

Great White Smoke BBQ Co. is a Bloomington barbecue business run by pitmaster Dave White. It has a catering company and a food truck, and its barbecue team competes.

White has competed at events such as the Royal Oak Invitational and the World Food Championships, and his first competition was a Bloomington Chamber of Commerce cook-off in 2014. Culinary Crossroads reported that he took grand champion honors at a Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que of America All-Star Series event in Indianapolis.

In 2026 White taught a Smoke School pork butt demo at Hard Truth Distilling in Nashville, Indiana, and Great White Smoke was an event partner of the distillery's July Bourbon & BBQ Festival.
