About Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

The Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology cares for the collections of the former Glenn Black Laboratory of Archaeology and the Mathers Museum of World Cultures. Its collections hold more than five million objects from societies around the world.

The museum shows changing exhibitions in its galleries on North Indiana Avenue, near the east side of campus, and holds public events; its website lists what is on view and what is coming up. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, with later opening on Saturday, and closed Sunday and Monday. Entry is free for all visitors, according to the museum’s website.
