About Kabul Corner

Kabul Corner is a women-owned Afghan teahouse at 305 E. Third St., opened in December 2025 by owner Nargis Orokzai. She started it while working next door at her husband Farid's business, Turkuaz Cafe, and named it for her hometown of Kabul.

The tea list includes milk tea, pink tea, fresh mint, lavender, apple cinnamon orange green tea and chawa. Orokzai makes her own lavender and hibiscus syrups for hot and iced drinks, and the tea comes from Afghan-owned brands. To eat there are croissants, paratha naan, salty and cardamom cookies, pistachio tiramisu, avocado toast and sandwiches.

You can order to go or sit at one of the tables, which seat about 20. The shop also sells dried fruit, nuts and handwoven Afghan rugs.
