Needmore Coffee Roasters

Needmore Coffee Roasters is a woman-owned, small-batch coffee roastery in Bloomington. Katie Mysliwiec Slavin started it in June 2014 and named it after Needmore Elementary School, then opened the coffee bar and roastery on the east side of town in March 2017.

It roasts only organic coffee and offers both direct trade and fair trade beans. The beans are roasted in small batches on a 12-kilo drum roaster at a separate Southside facility, no longer inside the cafe.

The cafe at 104 N Pete Ellis Dr, Suite E serves quiche, scones, biscotti and paninis. The coffee bar is built from Hancock County wood, and the walls show rotating work by local artists. Beans can also be ordered online or by subscription.

The business lists hours of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Saturday and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Sunday, which may change.
