From its origins in the summer of 2011, Pet Monkey was pieced together with musician acquaintances of bassist David Webb. Drummer Todd Bessinger and keyboardist Doug Hanscom had recently played with David in a band called “Rodeo Joe”, while guitarist Scott Strange had played years ago with Webb in “The Jay Michal’s Band” Lead guitarist Tyler Parker knew Dave as they grew up and lived in the same area of Monroe County.Now four years later, Pet Monkey has played 30-40 shows a year and has a avid following. From Scottsburg to Greenwood to Orleans to Indianapolis, the Pet Monkey boys have wooed audiences large and small in a variety of venues and situations. Playing classic rock hits from the 60’s to the 80’s, the band also mixes in a bit of country, funk and dance music. The goal for any Pet Monkey event is big fun, great music, and continuous dancing.We hope you take the opportunity to see for yourself what all the Monkey mayhem is all about. Sycamore Land Trust (Sycamore) is a regional, nonprofit conservation organization protecting southern Indiana’s natural heritage. With the support of our members and volunteers, we conserve important natural areas (including forests, prairies, and wetlands) and family farms. Many of our preserves are open to the public for hiking and bird watching, and we offer a variety of hikes and other events for people of all ages to connect with nature. Duane Busick provides professional, creative, artistic and timely video services throughout Indiana. In addition to producing wedding videos this award winning documentarian focuses on the human consequences of festivals and community events, showing how they enrich our cultural lives and mold community pride. Duane does work for many local community organizations including WonderLab, the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival, the 4th Street Festival, and the Bloomington Entertainment and Arts District.
