RoboBoosters, Inc. (The Quadrangles and I.C.E. Robotics)

RoboBoosters, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity created to support FIRST robotics teams in Monroe County. It is the fiscal sponsor of The Quadrangles, FIRST Robotics Competition Team 3494, and of I.C.E. Robotics, FIRST Tech Challenge Team 11329. It also supports FIRST LEGO League teams for younger students.

The teams

• The Quadrangles (FRC 3494) started in 2011 and has more than 30 students who design and build a new robot each year to compete in several events. Its mission is to help youth find and pursue their passion for science, engineering and technology. Students in grades 8-12 and adult mentors from Monroe and surrounding counties are welcome.
• I.C.E. Robotics (FTC 11329) started in 2016 as a developmental team for younger or less experienced students, with 4-10 members building a smaller robot. In March 2026 it won the Indiana FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship as captain of the winning alliance and advanced to the world championship in Houston.

The teams meet at the IU Multidisciplinary Engineering & Science Hall (MESH), 2425 N. Milo B. Sampson Lane, across from Assembly Hall. Interested students, parents and mentors are welcome at the Monday meetings, 6-8:30 pm. Mentors include working and retired engineers, FIRST alumni, parents and other community members.
