About The Olive Leaf
The Olive Leaf is a tasting shop for olive oils and vinegars that opened in Bloomington in June 2010. Visitors can sample an always-changing selection of more than 40 oils and vinegars served on tap and bottled on site. The shop also carries wine vinegars, specialty oils, artisan pastas and Indiana-made foods.
Bloomington Chocolate Company, the shop's chocolate line, makes handmade truffles, chocolate bars, caramel cups and chocolate-dipped sandwich cookies called Blooming-O's. Bloom Magazine reported in 2016 that Linda Armes and Lisa Hornibrook bought the business in September 2014. The website also links to the Kirkwood Sweet Shop, a downtown bakery and coffee shop.
Posted hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; they may change. The shop is at 2534 E 3rd Street, phone 812-323-3073.
