About Vintage Phoenix Comic Books
Vintage Phoenix Comic Books is Bloomington’s destination for comics, graphic novels, action figures and more, at 114 E. 6th Street, a half block off the Courthouse Square and four blocks west of Indiana University. The shop says it has been bringing entertainment to readers of all ages for 30 years.
More than 1,400 square feet of shelves cover new and used comics, manga and graphic novels in many categories, not only the big hits. Staff offer recommendations and will special order items, often within the same week.
Vintage Phoenix also buys, sells and trades. Bring in comics from the attic or a collection you want to trim, and the staff will look through them, tell you what they may be worth and make an offer. It takes part in Free Comic Book Day on the first Saturday in May.
Vintage Phoenix is one of the nine independent bookstores in the 2026 Bloomington Book Festival Bookstore Crawl, and it sits next door to Steve’s Book-O-Rama at 118 E. 6th Street.
