Wever’s Smoke Eaters BBQ

Wever's Smoke Eaters BBQ is a family barbecue business run by Roy and Connie Wever. Their truck was at the 2025 season opener of Food Truck Fridays at Switchyard Park, and Connie said they have been vendors there for 12 years.

The family got into the food truck business because their son, a Bloomington paramedic, wanted to. Besides the truck, the business sells its own BBQ sauce and does catering with its own seasonings.

The catering menu on its website (2021 archived copy) lists pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, brisket and brats, with sides such as mac and cheese, baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw. For events that need a simpler setup, it offers mobile concessions, including pulled pork sandwiches and pulled pork nachos. It says it serves Bloomington and the surrounding counties, so call to book.
