I will be updating new images each month so please browse and vote.I would love for you to leave a testamonial just so i can see what is liked or not liked.outsider/psychic-visionary artistJohnnie belindaMy art has evolved out of a personal need to nurture self.Art has become my secret journal of myself. There are no words that can be read to betray me, only images and symbols flowing from ink or paints to express what I am feeling.I do not care if there is a straight line or perfect image but one that moves me.I am not perfect so why should my art be so?Like a chef who tries new recipes delighting in some and tossing others away ,my mediums and style vary from day to day painted in mintues or hours. Each day is a new feeling to life so I have become experimental in my art.My art is a collective of my thoughts primitive at times spiritual at others sensual to erotic but always maternal in my protectiveness of each piece for they are my children.I also take inspirition from images I recieve during psychic readings for my clients,to the drawing table creating works, which are true to my nature. I am self-taught and consider my style that of the outsider artist.pet portraits, which come with a psychic reading about the pet, abstract pieces where animals or ghostly images appear. primitive art, which evoke imagation, are my true expression. I have recieved numerous awards for my works and currently my art may be seen at these locations. Bellevue Gallery 107 w. 9th street Bloomington In. andArt works 147 n. Jefferson street Martinsville In.

The Native American Community Center of Bloomington, Inc., seeks to improve the status and cultural survival of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Americans in Bloomington and throughout Indiana through a variety of services and programs.Description: The Native American Community Center of Bloomington, Inc., seeks to improve the status and cultural survival of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Americans in Bloomington and throughout Indiana through a variety of services and programs. These services and programs will emphasize 1) fostering a community of people of all ethnicities who support American Indian individuals, communities, and nations, 2) educating the non-American Indian mainstream about American Indian cultures, and 3) advocating for American Indians with other agencies. Believing that an inclusive community space is paramount to our mission, the NACC will strive to obtain a building with a home-like atmosphere which will be open to all people, but which will primarily serve American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians. In fulfilling its mission, the NACC will be inclusive of all American Indians, including people of mixed ancestry and two-spirits. We seek to provide a place where people wishing to reconnect with their ancestry can learn about pursuing this goal in a respectful and safe way rather than be taken in by plastic shamans or other hucksters.
Juannita?s is proud to bring authentic Mexican food to Bloomington, Indiana. At the heart of our business is our family. Abuela Juannita, our namesake, has lovingly shared her recipes, and we?re entirely family owned and operated. Although the restaurant on W Kirkwood only opened in 2013, we?ve been in Bloomington?s food scene for quite a bit longer. Since 2007, Juannita?s daughter Carmen has been known as Bloomington?s ?Tamale Lady,? delivering delicious tamales to local restaurants. But bringing interior Mexican dishes that simply aren?t on any other menus in town was the entire family?s dream, and we came together to make it a reality.Every little detail ? from the bright yellow paint outside, to the fresh salsa verde, to the soda imported from Mexico and the homemade horchata ? was carefully chosen to show Bloomington a real reflection of our Mexican heritage. We hope you enjoy.
